2018 Kindomwide EID Table Tennis Tournament

Rules and Regulations:

The tournament will be conducted in accordance with the current Laws of Table Tennis and

Regulations of the ITTF.

1.1 Team Event

A team is composed of 4 players could play in each match is allowed to play in a format

(Singles-Doubles-Singles)

1.2 Doubles Event

The pairing of doubles should come from the same team members and must be from

the same category.

1.2 Singles Event

A player allowed to play here per category are those from the submitted from Team

of each club or a player from hosting club without a team.

2. Playing Format:

2.1 Singles Event-Qualifying Rounds

1. Players would be drawn into round-robin groups of 4-5 players

2. Each match is played in best-of 5

3. Top 2 players of each group would advance to the next round (advance rounds)

3.1 In the event of "Tie", Win over the other will be applied

3.2 But for "Triple Tie", quotient system will be used to resolve the tie.

2.1.2 Singles Event-Advance rounds

1. Final 8 or 16 players from qualifying rounds would be called

2. Each player would draw his number/position in the final knock- out chart

3. Event advances to the finals via single elimination / knock-out system

4. Each match is played in best-of-5 EXCEPT the finals which would best-of-7.

2.2 Team Events-Qualifying Rounds

1. Teams would be drawn into groups of 3-4 teams depending on the number of

participating teams.

2. Each bracket will play via single round robin matches.

2. Each team is composed of 4 members; namely Player 1, Player 2, Player 3 & Player

2.3 Team matches will follow the match sequence:(Singles-Doubles-Singles)

1st match - singles - Player 1 (best of 5 sets)

2nd match - doubles - Player 2 + Player 3 (best of 5 sets)

3rd match - singles - Player 4 (best of 5 sets)

5. Team match is won via first team to win 2 matches

6. Top 2 teams of each bracket will qualify for the advance rounds

6.1 In the event of "Tie", Win over the other will be applied

6.2 But for "Triple Tie", quotient system will be used to resolve the triple tie.

2.4 Team Events-Advance rounds

1. Final 8 or 16 teams from qualifying rounds will be called

2. Each team captain will draw his team number/position in the final knock-out

chart.

3. Event advances to the finals via single elimination / knock-out system

4. Each team match is played similar to the qualifying rounds EXCEPT the finals in

which each match will be best-of-7.

1st Runner Up : Team Trophy and silver medal for each

2nd Runner Up : Team Trophy and bronze medal for each
